Regarding your comment on the digital comics. I don’t think there should be cause for concern. Creators are looking for viable options to build readers. Unfortunately, Armageddon, while a great place to meet other creators, is just not the best place to try and sell comics. Cold selling an original concept on someone seems like a hard thing to do at a show like that. Particularly in a country where comics just aren’t appreciated as an art form (perhaps the problem is just my comics? Heh).

If the web gives creators a chance to grow their audience, both nationally and internationally, then that is a win.

The way I am seeing it. The comics can be more freely distributed online, but also the continual updating works like a deadline, and helps focus for producing the work. I’m going to be using it to produce the work faster. Hopefully what this will mean is, another print comic will be turned out faster, because I have been drawing more. Lets face it, 3.5 years for the first book is ridiculous.

Self published comics will never go away. There will just be different takes on how to produce them.

Funnily enough I’d already taken a picture of the sign pre-paper, cos I thought it was funny enough like that. Then maybe 6 months later I went past and saw what they’d done to it and knew I had to take a picture of that too
